During our stay we did some long walks, ate at two of the restaurants recommended in the guidebook and visited Alexander House spa. Would highly recommend.

Barn is decorated beautifully and the open beams give so much character. Kitchen amenities are excellent and living room/ dining space is lovely. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom are fantastic with a little cubby hole under the stairs for either studying, gaming or a dressing table. Shower downstairs is superb. Upstairs bedroom is beautiful but in the summer it is very light due to early sunrise and late sundown, however the hosts provide eye masks. The only downside is the upstairs shower- it’s small (not an issue usually) but it is a rainshower so you are covered in water with nowhere to move out of the water so you need to keep turning it off.
Overall, a great stay with friendly and helpful hosts.
